About the role

CHEQUE EXPRESS Financial, is looking for a bilingual (English/Spanish) organized, attentive, reliable & friendly cashier to join our team and provide exceptional service to our customers. Duties will include regular cashier activities, which includes processing transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and regulations. The Cashier will respond to customer requests and inquiries. Additional duties may include balancing, reporting, and other customer service processes. You should be courteous, efficient, helpful, and accurate. The ideal candidate will have experience with money processes and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting customers with processing transactions such as cashing checks, money transfer, payments, selling money orders, resolving complaints, and answering questions.
  • Tracking, recording, reporting, and storing information related to transactions and customers, ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
  • Maintaining and balancing cash drawers and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Packing cash to be stored in drawers or the vault.
  • Keeping a clean, organized work area and a professional appearance.
  • Handling currency, transactions, and confidential information in a responsible manner.
  • Using software to track information.
  • Following all company, state and federal financial and security regulations and procedures.

Candidate requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Basic Math and Computer skills
  • Familiarity with electronic equipment
  • Cash-handling experience (1 year preferred)
  • Customer Service experience
  • Excellent customer service and enthusiastic positive attitude
  • High level of accountability, efficiency, and accuracy
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Be able to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, holidays, and weekends
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Authorized to work in US
